 | Marlin Model 444S lever action big game rifle in 444 Marlin caliber. The barrel measures 22" with a "JM" stamp and short magazine which holds four rounds and micro-groove rifling. The rear buck horn sight is adjustable with a hooded front blade sight. It comes with a Bushnell Sportview variable 3x6 scope. This sporter model has a pistol grip with cap and ends in a factory Marlin recoil pad. The forearm is well-formed and held with a metal forend cap with a sling swivel. This Marlin lever gun is a serious big game contender capable of game from deer to moose. The gun is in excellent overall condition. Serial # 23101646.  | Group of (2) shotguns, to include: 1) W. Richards Hammer double-barrel shotgun in 12 gauge. The laminated twist barrels (not for modern ammunition) measure 30" and are marked on rib "W. Richards London Laminated Steel with Birmingham proofs". There is game engraving and the name "W. Richards" on the lock plates. The stock has a round or Prince of Whales grip and ends in a solid buttplate with stag head. The gun shows wear and is loose. This gun should not be shot unless a gunsmith approves it and is made for black powder only. It would be best for a wall hanger. 2) Mossberg & Sons Model 75A bolt-action single-shot in 20 gauge. The barrel measures 26" with front bead. The safety is activated by a pin on the bolt which, when twisted to 6 o'clock or to a slot in bottom, will fire when trigger is pulled. These were built as inexpensive knock-about guns with a take-apart screw in the bottom of the stock. In fair condition. No serial number.  | Remington Rolling Block model 2 sporting rifle in 32RF. The octagon barrel measures 25" with both factory open sporting sights and an inlaid elevation sight which is incomplete. The receiver, forearm tip and crescent buttplate are case-colored. The straight perch belly stock ends in a crescent buttplate and the forearm has a metal inlaid Schnabel tip. This Model 2 is in overall good to very good condition, showing some wear to the right side of the receiver and very light surface oxidation to bluing. Serial # 2432.  | Early flintlock blunderbuss with brass barrel. The flared brass barrel measures 16-1/2" with a 1-3/16" forward bore and three proof marks I believe to be English. The iron lock and hammer are engraved with a light floral pattern. The remaining hardware is brass with floral engraving. The forward end of the trigger guard is in a pineapple form. The ram rod has a corkscrew end and is held by two brass tubes. Before carbines, the Blunderbuss was the go-to weapon for pirates, stage coachman and situations with limited maneuverability. This flintlock is in very good condition, there is some finish wear and assorted dings, but no major problems and the lock is functioning. No serial number.  | Unmarked Belgian boxlock ejector O/U in 16 gauge. The barrels measure 27-5/8" with a solid game rib and Belgian Nitro proof marks. Both barrels have modified chokes with bright bores. The scalloped receiver is modestly engraved with a deep relief floral leaf pattern on the shoulders and top. The straight grip stock is well-figured French walnut with a LOP of 14-3/8" to end of 3/4" pad and 2-1/4" DAH with some cast-off. The wood finish and condition is very good with a hairline crack extending from the forearm opening button escutcheon for 1-3/4". The bluing shows some wear and the receiver is a pewter color. A good solid O/U, not too heavy, making it the perfect game gun with ejectors. Serial # 1690.  | J.P. SAUER & SOHN, SUHL high-grade boxlock ejector double-barrel in 12 gauge. The barrels measure 30" with a high solid rib, bright bores and choked light modified and extra full. The barrels are marked "Special-Gewehr, Fried, Krupp-A.G." with three rings and Nitro proof marks. The scalloped receiver has game scenes on both sides with pheasants and ducks. The receiver has a Greener cross-bolt, side clips and cocking indicators. The double triggers have a horn trigger guard and engraved metal pistol grip cap. The nicely figured stock has a pistol grip and solid red rubber pad. The LOP is 14-1/2", DAC 1-1/2" - DAH 2-3/4". The forearm has a 2" sliver missing off the forward right edge and ends in an ebony tip. The barrel blue is very good and the receiver is a pewter color. The checkering is worn in areas along with a couple of dents and dings. A solid, tight well-built German side-by-side which deserves some refinishing or use as-is. Serial # 220706.  | Lee Enfield (SMLE) Short Magazine MK III* in 303 caliber. The barrel measures 25.2" with a very good, strong rifled bore. The rear stock band is marked "GR" with crown and "B.S.A. Co. SHT.LE III*". The rifle is equipped with a rear ladder sight and a protected front blade sight. The long muzzle cap has a bayonet lug and sling swivel. The stock has a brass buttplate with flip-up oil bottle reservoir and brass stock medallion marked "N". The serial numbers on bolt and frame are matching. The stock is in very good condition with correct barrel bands and sling swivels. I believe this will make an excellent example of a MKIII Enfield for a military collector. Serial # 3059.  | Benelli Ultra Light auto loader in 20 gauge, 2-3/4" & 3". The barrel with carbo fiber vent rib measures 24". It comes with four choke tubes: Cyl., Imp/Cyl. Mod. and Full. The "weather coat" finished walnut stock is well-figured with an adjustment kit to change drop and cast with a 14-3/8" LOP. The Benelli inertia-driven system is known for extreme reliability and strength. This gun was designed predominantly for upland hunting, and at a touch over 5 lbs., it can be carried all day. Some hunters have used the 20g for both turkey and ducks since it handles 3" shells. The gun is in as-new mint condition, in Benelli hard case. Serial # N230004-IT22.  | Benelli Ultra Light auto loader in 12 gauge, 2-3/4" or 3". The barrel measures 26" with factory screw-in chokes I/C, Mod. and Full with carbon fiber vent rib and red or yellow fluorescent front sight. The satin walnut stock is finished with "weather coat" and has a LOP of 14-1/4" with adjustable shims. The tube magazine is lightened and only allows for three shots. This shotgun weighs six pounds and is the lightest semiautomatic shotgun made. This gun was designed for upland hunting allowing a 12 gauge to carry like a twenty and the Benelli Inertia System reduced recoil allowing for 3" shells for waterfowl. The shotgun comes in a fitted hard case with a Benelli owner's manual. There is one tiny scratch on left side of comb and a small loss to the bottom of recoil pad. Serial # M0125046F.  | Browning Double Auto "Twelvette" with green receiver in 12 gauge. The round plain barrel measures 27-1/2" and is marked with double ** or modified choke. The Double Auto was designed by Val Browning as a two-shot autoloader with a short action. The Twelvette and Twentyweight were made with aluminum receivers to reduce weight, and because they did not have a magazine further weight was removed. The gun was very well built in Belgium by FN and retains the slender forearm and round knob pistol grip; all models ending in a solid buttplate marked "Browning Double Automatic". This gun shows a bit of fading to the green anodized finish, while the stock shows only light handling wear. Serial # A5489.  | Orvis Superfine bamboo fly rod 7-1/2', 2-pc, 2-tip, for a 6 wt. line. The cane is marked "Orvis Impregnated Superfine 7-1/2', 3-1/4 oz. for HDG (6)". The flattened cock reel seat has two aluminum slip rings with a cigar-shaped grip. The carbide stripper guide is followed by snake guides with brown wraps. The tips are in excellent matching condition with blackened ferrules. The rod shows some light use but is in overall very good condition; in tan bag and original tube with Orvis markings. | 600 - 800 | |
 | Charles P. Neuner bamboo trout rod 6' 3", 2pc, 2tip, 4 wt., based on the Paul Young Midge. The rod is an exquisite example of Chuck Neuners craftsmanship and attention-to-detail. The cane is marked "0607 6' 3" 4 wt." below "C.P. Neuner Maker". Medium-flamed cane, hand-split and planed with polished nickel silver ferrules, fittings and reel seat hardware with bird's eye maple reel seat insert, and translucent silk wraps. The cane finish is hand-rubbed spar varnish, which is in perfect condition. The rod comes in a brown cloth bag having a brass capped aluminum rod case with ferrule plug. This rod was won at a Trout Unlimited Art Flick banquet. Chuck Neuner lives on Long Island and is a chemist by trade. He has been a very generous supporter of Trout Unlimited, especially to the Carmen River Art Flick Chapter, often donating one of his rods in a special fundraising raffle.  | Payne 9' 6", 3-pcs, 2-tip salmon rod, refinished by Walt Carpenter, with letter. Walt Carpenter was contacted and agreed to refinish the rod. The up-locking reel seat with cedar spacer is marked "Payne Reg. U.S. Pat. Off." The butt cap is marked "Sold by Abercrombie & Fitch, New York". The rod comes with a detachable fighting butt with plug. The wraps are brown with black tipping and blackened ferrules. The rod comes in a olive cloth bag, aluminum case with brass cap and correct over bag with extension butt compartment. This classic Payne Salmon Rod refinished by one of the most well-known and admired Payne rod builders is in "as new" condition with handwritten letter from Walt hoping the job was worth the wait; it sure was. | 1,000 - 2,000 | |
 | Cortland 444 LTD. bamboo 6-1/2', 2pcs-2tip lightweight trout rod. The cane is marked "Cortland 444 LTD Impregnated Made in England 6-1/2' 2-1/8 oz. Line #5". The reel seat is cork with a pair of sliding rings. The stripper guide is followed by snake guides along with a hook keeper just above the rod handle. The wraps are a dark brown with blackened ferrules. One tip is a half-inch short, otherwise in very good to excellent condition with original bag, tube and registration slip to be mailed to Cortland. The rods were made by Sharpe in England to be sold through the Cortland Pro Shop in the 70s. The Cortland 444s are considered good sturdy rods, well-made, with the shorter lengths being the most sought after. | 300 - 500 | |
 | Hardy 2-7/8" "The Perfect" duplicated MK II fly reel in Hardy leather case. Certainly one of Hardy's most classic trout reels, the 2-7/8" is the sought after vintage fly reel. The "leaded" finish shows some handling wear but still covers most of the surface. The aluminum ribbed foot has the patent number on one side and the handle is in excellent condition. There are no dings or dents on the reel. The reel was sold thru Dame & Stoddard in Boston pre 1920. | 700 - 1,000 | |
 | Hardy 3" St. George fly reel in original Abercrombie & Fitch box and Hardy leather case. The 3" vintage St. George has a three-screw spool latch cover and ribbed brass foot; this size was offered in 1920. The back plate has an aluminum-riveted plaque marked, "Abercrombie & Fitch, Made for, New York". The reel shows some in-use wear to the "leaded" finish but is free of any dings or dents. The nickel silver and agate line guide is perfect. This is the classic light trout rod reel. | 700 - 900 | |

This vintage St. George with its wonderful "leaded" finish and agate nickel silver line guide is an excellent example of the prized St. George fly reels. It has a three-screw spool latch cover and ribbed brass foot. The reel is free of any dings and dents with a very little in-use wear.  | Edward vom Hofe 5/0 salmon reel pre Restigouche. The reel has a 4-3/8" diameter and six-position drag adjustment. The drag adjustment plate is marked "Edw. vom Hofe Maker & Patentee-Pat'd Sept. 2 `79 * Fulton St. N.Y." and "Edw. vom Hofe N.Y. PAT. JAN. 23, 83" on rear oil cap. The click button has minor in-use markings in center. The handle center screw slot is slightly rough. The other screws appear untouched. The owners name "F.L. Higginson" is inscribed on the front plate. Higginson owned and ran the Lee Higginson and Co. Bank in Boston. He was an avid salmon fisherman belonging to several salmon clubs including the Restigouche Salmon Club in Canada. The reel was purchased by the consignor from the great-grandson, thus the background information. There are no dings or dents to the outer rims. The foot measures 3-3/16" and appears untouched. The reel is in overall very good to excellent condition. It comes in a vom Hofe leather case, which needs the top leather perimeter flap stitched, the buckle strap is missing. The case is marked "W.  | Hardy brass face perfect 4-1/4" salmon reel with provenance to Bradley Martin Jr. The reel was purchased at the estate, "Knole", a 40,000 square foot mansion owned by Bradley Martin Jr., located in Old Westbury, Long Island, NY. The auction was conducted in 2005 by South Bay Auctions, Inc. The reel is brass-faced with a smooth center hole brass foot. The back plate is inscribed "BRADLEY MARTIN JUN.r" with rod-in-hand logo and "Hardy's Pat. "PERFECT REEL". The leaded finish shows some handling wear to the brass face and very little to the front face. This reel is in overall very good plus condition, with only a minor bend to the handle shaft, and comes in the original Hardy leather case with "BRADLEY MARTIN JUNr" inscribed on top. This was Bradley Martin's Scottish sporting estate, leased from the Seafield family from 1885-1913 at the time of his death.
